The ABC’s of Recruiting

Shared by Regional Sales Manager for Executives, Al Fornier

The first thing they teach us as children is the alphabet. In much the same way, we should also know our ABC's…The ABC’s of Recruiting.

A – Ask, Ask, Ask! – Ask people if they can see themselves doing what you do. If you don’t ask, the answer is always NO! If you don’t ask, you don’t give people a chance to say “Yes”.
B – Build relationships – Do what it takes to build strong relationships with your team members’ best interests at heart.

Let's get organized before the busy fall season hits!

"A powerful method for reprogramming your subconscious mind with the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of highly productive people is for you to 'act as if' you were already the efficient, effective person that you desire to be." - Brian Tracy

Let's get organized before the busy fall season hits!

Do you walk into your office area and shudder?
Do you feel overwhelmed before you even get started?
Do you waste time looking for a handout, phone number or guest order?

Clutter = Overwhelm = Stress

What to say when it's been too long...

There was a great discussion in the Jamberry Leaders' group about what to say (by text, email or B message) to customers that you've waited entirely too long to follow up with.

We've all done it, gotten busy, forgotten, failed to make it a priority, procrastinated or just didn't know how important it was.

Now that we know better, it's time to do better!  Here are some great ideas:

Maximize your Facebook Time for Business!

We've all done it... logged into Facebook for a quick peek.  Got distracted.  Wasted the whole day.

If you're using social media for your direct sales business, you have to walk that fine line between being social and doing business.  Fortunately, we are in the relationship business, and sites like Facebook allow us to nurture relationships.  Unfortunately, people like to take a shortcut and just try to use it to sell to people!

Here is a tool that I use to help manage my Facebook time more wisely.  Lists.  There are 2 kinds of lists on Facebook: Interest Lists and Friend Lists.  Today, I'll share about the former.

Here is a graphic for those of us who are visual learners (and a shameless way to get people here from Pinterest!)

Starting today, we are offering free SpeedShare for all our consultants with a paid website! SpeedShare is an innovative tool for web-sharing. Until today, it has been part of the Meet.fm upgrades. Now, all consultants with a professional website can sign up and use this feature for free! To see how, click here.
What are Jamberry consultants saying about their Meet.fm and SpeedShare experiences? Find out in this article on The Websharing Blog.

And there's more! For all of our GroSocial users, we’re thrilled to announce the release of the first in a series of additions to the GroSocial platform focused around the needs of Jamberry consultants. Jamberry consultants now have the ability to schedule posts to not only their business page but their personal and event pages as well.

When consultants now attempt to post a new update on the GroSocial platform they’ll see the option to “add new" by clicking on it, they’ll see a list of events that they have created, they can then write their posts and choose to post immediately or to schedule that post for a future time. We’re excited for this newest addition and looking forward to more in the coming weeks and months. Click here to learn more about GroSocial.

And remember, Jamberry is helping you make 2015 a lot less taxing by offering TaxBot for FREE to those who have a professional Jamberry website. This mobile app helps you track all your business expenses including mileage. You can find hidden savings year round when using Taxbot.

All three of these tools are found in your Consultant Workstation. When you are in your Workstation, click on the ADD-ON TOOLS tab to get started.

Sincerely,

Jamberry Training & Web Teams

Follow Up Phone Call Scripts

from JAMsister Rebecca C.

Anatomy of the dreaded follow up phone call for a party
Use this if they marked yes, maybe, or nothing.
If she said maybe:

“You: Hi “Jane” how are you today?
Her: Fine, who is this?
You: This is “your name” I met you last night (or your event date and time) at the “such and such event”
Her: Oh yeah how are you?
You: I am doing great. I read from your sheet (or however you got their info) that you were interested in hosting a party and I just got some openings in my schedule for ____(whenever you want her to hold the party) ((Offer up to three dates, people like choices)) Since we are so close to the holidays if you want these by Thanksgiving I suggest we have it sooner rather than later. If you want it for Christmas order by this day etc...
Her: “I checked the maybe box”
You: Well Jane how can I turn your maybe into a yes? Is it a time issue, money issue? Let me know what it is. I guarantee you will have a great time hosting a party.
Her: I can’t afford to have all those people at my house and feed them.
You: Jane you can make it as minimal as you want, crackers and water would be fine. I will start right away and keep the party short, so they can still get home at a decent time for dinner. Or we can have it at a time when people will most likely already have eaten. Or make it a potluck have your guests each bring a dish. What day do think would be good for you out of the dates I have chosen?
Her: I have three kids and no sitter.
You: While although it is ideal to have a child free night. You may get more people by having it kid friendly. Plop a movie on for them tell the parents to bring a snack and you have two birds with one stone.
Her: That is a great idea!
Now book the date!!

Systems for Client Follow Up

Greats systems from a fellow Founding Executive!

I needed a system for follow up too. I started using an email scheduler. It is saving my sanity! Mine is called Right In Box, though there are others.

As soon as my customers order, I mail them a post card thank you. I write these in bulk so I just have to print a label when they order. I check my dash every day and print a label. Easy.

As soon as my customers order, I also pop over into my email and schedule an automatic email for 2 weeks and 2 months later. I have templates that I copy/paste. All I have to do is add the customer's email address and hit "send later" Now I don't have to remember to follow up. Before, I was marking these in my planner for certain days each month. I function much better this way.

Once a month, I add all of my new clients to Mail Chimp and I send a monthly newsletter through that too. I highlight new wraps (SSE, Hostess Exclusive), seasonal trends, bookings, etc.

I've found that putting my customer follow up on auto-pilot has given me more time to focus on my team.

When are you at your best?

Today's Tip

One of the beauties of a home based business is the flexibility that it gives us. There is also a dangerous component of that flexibility and that is that we have the potential of “flexing ourselves right OUT of the business.”

Hello? Is anybody there

Today's Tip

Subject - Hello? Is anybody there?
Last Thursday, I picked up our home phone and could barely hear the dial tone due to an annoyingly loud buzzing sound on the line. When I attempted to place a call, the buzzing was there and when people called us, it was nearly impossible to tell who was on the other line because the buzzing was so loud.

Recruiting tips from The Booster

SUBJECT:  Recruiting
We continue on our study of recruiting and discovering why it is that more people do not take advantage of the opportunity to truly build residual income in this business.

  • REASON #1… “I don’t want to be PUSHY.”  Probably the most common fear associated with recruiting.
