The ABC’s of Recruiting

Shared by Regional Sales Manager for Executives, Al Fornier

The first thing they teach us as children is the alphabet. In much the same way, we should also know our ABC's…The ABC’s of Recruiting.

A – Ask, Ask, Ask! – Ask people if they can see themselves doing what you do. If you don’t ask, the answer is always NO! If you don’t ask, you don’t give people a chance to say “Yes”.
B – Build relationships – Do what it takes to build strong relationships with your team members’ best interests at heart.

C - Consistency. Strive to be consistent and deliberate in your recruiting efforts.
D – Stay determined. Once you’re committed, determination allows you to continue no matter what. Successful leaders persevere even when challenges come up.
E – Encourage. Encourage all new Consultants to start with a buddy.
F – Follow up. Many people often miss out on recruiting only because they never followed up on a conversation with a contact or failed to return a call to an inquiry.
G – Goal. Set personal recruiting goals EVERY month. Celebrate when you achieve.
H – Home. Share the benefits of earning money from home.
I – Inspire. We have the power within to inspire and make a difference in the lives of others with our unique opportunity.
J – Justify your “Why”. Let your prospects know “why” you chose Jamberry and “what” you intend to accomplish or have accomplished with the business.
K – Kit. Show them the options and value of each Consultant starter kit.
L – Maintain an active list. Keep a list of prospects—people you’ve reached out to before and people you need to contact again. It is easy to forget, write it down.
M – Money. Show people the “BIG” picture on how to make money with a Jamberry business and the benefits of building a team.
N – N0’s. Go for the No’s. The more “NO’s you hear, the closer you are to a “YES”. Take the No's in stride; it is all part of the business.
O – Organization. Organize all your recruiting materials and have them readily available to be given out at a moment’s notice.
P – Persistence. Persistence is key to becoming better at recruiting. Be persistent and keep putting effort into your recruiting strategies. Most importantly, continue to follow up with potential leads. With continued persistence, the results will happen!
Q – Quality Time. Dedicate time to business building activities every day. Engaging in business building activities will increase your pool of potential leads.
R - Response. Make sure to respond or follow up with all leads within 24 – 48 hours. It is a proven fact that things stay top of mind for about three days. After that, interest fades fast!
S – Share. Share the life changing gift of Jamberry with everyone. Don’t prejudge.
T – Take Action! You can have the best recruiting plan in the world ~ it is useless unless you act on your plan. If not now... when?
U – Utilize. Utilize all training materials, marketing collateral and business building tools that Jamberry offers you.
V – Visualize. Visualize your earning potential and how your business can grow exponentially by building a team.
W – Work Ethic - It's your job to be a professional. Set forth professional work ethics that you’ll want your team members to emulate.
X – “X” out your checklist. Mark off your completed tasks at the end of each day. Review your next day’s agenda.
Y – Your Success. Make a list of everything that needs to happen for you to feel successful in your business.
Z – Zero excuses. Accept ZERO excuses. Write down potential ones. Then counter each one with a way to overcome them. Remind yourself how great you feel when you achieve your goals. A zero-excuse policy makes it easier to open the door for new recruits to join your team.
