The ABC’s of Recruiting

Shared by Regional Sales Manager for Executives, Al Fornier

The first thing they teach us as children is the alphabet. In much the same way, we should also know our ABC's…The ABC’s of Recruiting.

A – Ask, Ask, Ask! – Ask people if they can see themselves doing what you do. If you don’t ask, the answer is always NO! If you don’t ask, you don’t give people a chance to say “Yes”.
B – Build relationships – Do what it takes to build strong relationships with your team members’ best interests at heart.

How to Find New Customers

No matter what business you are in, we all need one thing… new customers.
But, how do you find them? How do you get outside of your family and friends and find people who WANT to do business with you?
The way to find new customers is to make new connections. This can be done in a variety of ways.
One way is through online and social media marketing. The benefit of this type of marketing is that it can connect you with people from anywhere in the world.

How to answer: "I can't afford to join Jamberry"

Have someone who wants to join but they say they can't afford it?
They only have to "float" that money for a few days!!! The website is LIVE as soon as they sign up! They can prep their launch party and sign up that morning, enter the orders and get paid back on FRIDAY.
Seriously... Where there is a will, there is a way!!!

They obviously need some JAMBERRY in their life!  Let's get on a 3-way Strong Start call and make a PLAN!  Once we've made that plan, THEN they buy their kit strategically timed to limit the time the money is out of their bank account.

Here is a sample timeline:

Let's get organized before the busy fall season hits!

"A powerful method for reprogramming your subconscious mind with the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of highly productive people is for you to 'act as if' you were already the efficient, effective person that you desire to be." - Brian Tracy

Let's get organized before the busy fall season hits!

Do you walk into your office area and shudder?
Do you feel overwhelmed before you even get started?
Do you waste time looking for a handout, phone number or guest order?

Clutter = Overwhelm = Stress

Why Do We Build Relationships?

Besides all the personal benefits of building relationships with our customers and team members, there are cold, hard facts to prove that it's good business!

Exceeding expectations—"WOWing" the customer—is the name of the game.

Research shows that 70 percent of buying experiences are based on how the customer feels they are being treated.

Customers feel instant gratification when they are rewarded after doing business with you.

Maximize your Facebook Time for Business!

We've all done it... logged into Facebook for a quick peek.  Got distracted.  Wasted the whole day.

If you're using social media for your direct sales business, you have to walk that fine line between being social and doing business.  Fortunately, we are in the relationship business, and sites like Facebook allow us to nurture relationships.  Unfortunately, people like to take a shortcut and just try to use it to sell to people!

Here is a tool that I use to help manage my Facebook time more wisely.  Lists.  There are 2 kinds of lists on Facebook: Interest Lists and Friend Lists.  Today, I'll share about the former.

Here is a graphic for those of us who are visual learners (and a shameless way to get people here from Pinterest!)

Systems for Client Follow Up

Greats systems from a fellow Founding Executive!

I needed a system for follow up too. I started using an email scheduler. It is saving my sanity! Mine is called Right In Box, though there are others.

As soon as my customers order, I mail them a post card thank you. I write these in bulk so I just have to print a label when they order. I check my dash every day and print a label. Easy.

As soon as my customers order, I also pop over into my email and schedule an automatic email for 2 weeks and 2 months later. I have templates that I copy/paste. All I have to do is add the customer's email address and hit "send later" Now I don't have to remember to follow up. Before, I was marking these in my planner for certain days each month. I function much better this way.

Once a month, I add all of my new clients to Mail Chimp and I send a monthly newsletter through that too. I highlight new wraps (SSE, Hostess Exclusive), seasonal trends, bookings, etc.

I've found that putting my customer follow up on auto-pilot has given me more time to focus on my team.

10 Strategies for Being a Top 10 Producer

10 Strategies for Being a Top 10 Producer
1. Hard Work. Top producers bust it. Laziness isn’t a top 10 quality. You must have the willingness to bust your chops and stay at it. You’ll be ripping through some calories to the top 10 in anything you do. Physical and mental challenges are part of the climb to the top.

2. Focus. Top people do ONE thing damn good. They are NOT a “jack of all trades”, but

One of the beauties of a home based business is the flexibility that it gives us. There is also a dangerous component of that flexibility and that is that we have the potential of “flexing ourselves right OUT of the business.”

Subject: Summertime Recipe for Success - Ingredient #4: Schedule your Fall Kickoff NOW!
Most companies have new products that are unveiled for the fall. Many highlight them as a part of their national convention (often happening in the summer months). Your job as a team leader is to be sure that all of your team members are EXCITED about what is new for the fall. The best way to build that excitement is to be sure they have experienced the new fall products with all of their senses - up close and personal.

Subject: Summertime Recipe for Success - Ingredient #2: Script for recruiting NOW!
RIGHT NOW is an important time to begin your team building. Now is the time to follow up with all those leads from earlier in the year and approach (or re-approach) hostesses and customers. By joining now, they will still have time to get their feet wet in the business at a slower summer pace and YOU will be able to get them trained and rolling before they get completely committed to other fall volunteer opportunities and activities.
Try the following script when doing your phoning:

SUBJECT: Summertime - keeping myself and my TEAM on track!
Summer can be a challenging time for your home based business - especially if you are someone with children who are now home from school. Whether elementary, high school, or college aged having the kids around every day can present a real distraction. Fold in nice weather and the lure of fun outdoor activities and you have a potential recipe for major procrastination when working from home.

Re-booking "Cancelled" Parties

Send by email, personal note or text:

Sally,

I was just browsing over some of my parties from last year and your name popped up -- I remembered you had a lot of "life" happen last year and could not hold your Jamberry Party. Just wondering if you might be interested in rescheduling?  We have (current customer specials, seasonal designs, etc.)

Should You Friend your Contacts on Facebook?

These days, you’re a lot more likely to see posts from your friends than from Pages you’ve liked. So friend your customers on Facebook. Just keep in mind that you shouldn’t spam the News Feed with lots of business messages. This is against Facebook Terms of Service and it annoys people.

Incentive for your best hostesses

Wouldn’t it be great if you had a ready supply of people you could call on any time to book a party with you – and wouldn’t it be even better if you knew that the chances of the party being a good one were very high?

Here’s an idea that worked spectacularly well for me, resulting in very good relationships with my hostesses, a massive boost in business and the removal of the cringe factor when on the phone trying to get bookings. And the added bonus was that is was heaps of fun!
