  1. Fill in Family Obligations (birthdays, anniversaries, special days, vacations, lunch with hubby, ice cream with the kids, kid’s practices, games, presentations, etc.)

Patricia C. The best way *I* get parties booked? I tell myself to go for No - my goal is to ASK, no matter the outcome. My sponsor challenged me to get 30 No's in 3 days. I have asked 18 with 4 No, 1 Not Now, 3 Yes, and the rest have yet to respond. I have to ask more people today to finish at least my 30, and follow up next week with those who have not responded.

5 places to market your biz online

These days most distributors want to build their businesses both online and offline. It's a great way to make the most of your time! But there is a learning curve when it comes to online marketing. Here are some ways to get started:


Social Media Profile
When it comes to marketing your biz online, social media is king. I daresay that the majority of party plan reps who are actually making money online have a social media presence. The top social media platforms are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, Pinterest, and Instagram.

Each platform has its advantages so I recommend creating a profile for each one and playing around with them. Get a feel for them and how you can use them to promote your business and stick with the ones that best fits your needs. Personally I love Facebook and Twitter because of the ease with which you can not only reach out to your target market, but develop a relationship with them.

Personal Website/Blog
Another option that you have for promoting your business online is to create your own blog or website. Many party plan reps use their company's replicated website to promote their products and their business opportunity. However, the problem with using your company's replicated website is that you don't stand out amongst the hundreds or thousands of other people in your company who sell the exact same thing.

You also cannot usually customize your website very much - making it difficult to use it to attract your target audience. But, if you own your own blog or website you have much more control over the content and reach of your site. You can customize it to target whoever you want to and to brand yourself in a way that allows you to stand out in the crowd.

Craigslist
You can also use advertising websites such as Craigslist to promote your products and business opportunity. Just be careful that you are complying with your company's rules regarding using websites like this (if there are any).


Local Website

You should also definitely looking to promoting your home party businesses on any local websites. Some examples would be your town/city's website and your chamber of commerce's website. You can often use local websites to not only promote your products and business opportunity, but to also promote any events that you are hosting (such as opportunity meetings for potential recruits).


Join Network Marketing Forums

When it comes to direct sales, who you know can often open up doors to tremendous opportunities. That is why networking is so important. You never know which one of your colleagues in the direct sales industry will know about an event or opportunity that would be perfect for you. And when done right, you can also promote to your network marketing friends. After all, you already know that they have the right mindset - they are interested in owning their own business and are willing to give it a shot. Also, many are open to having multiple streams of income. You might just find your next rockstar in a networking forum or Facebook group.
